Moving forward, almost all of the new features we add to tweetymail will require either FULL access or MAX access. Note: We will continue to provide the existing set of free features (FREE access) to anyone who does not sign up for a subscription. However, users with FREE access will have substantially lower usage limits than users who have a subscription.

What are the differences between FREE, FULL, and MAX access?

FREE access provides a basic set of features and allows for the least of amount of usage. FULL access provides complete access to all of tweetymail's features and allows for much higher usage. MAX access is exactly the same as FULL access except that it allows for the highest amount of usage. FULL access and MAX access also provide other benefits such as customer support and faster email alerts.

WritePad is a handwriting recognition app that allows you to take notes on an iPad using a stylus or just your finger. Wouldn't it be neat to be able to tweet directly from WritePad? It turns out you can! Just use tweetymail and send your hand-written note to Twitter via email. It's as simple as tweeting with a single finger!

Some important news -- the preview of FULL access to tweetymail will officially end on July 10th, 2010. The preview has been a real success and we want to thank you for all of the great comments, ideas, and suggestions!

Starting July 11th, all users will be required to sign up for a subscription in order to get FULL access to tweetymail. The FREE access version of tweetymail will remain in place for those users who want to continue using the free subset of features. We are working on the payment infrastructure right now and will share the pricing details regarding FULL access with you later this month. As a reminder, users currently participating in the FULL access preview will be eligible for a nicely discounted subscription.

Finally, we want to mention that there is still room in the preview for this final stretch. Please tell your friends, family, mail man, and everyone-else-you-care-for-deeply about tweetymail and tell them how they can sign up to preview FULL access. If they sign up by next Friday (June 18th), they will be eligible for the discount too!

Do you receive an email from Twitter whenever you have a new follower or a direct message? Do you find those emails from Twitter useful? If you're like me, the answer is a resounding no. That's why tweetymail allows you to replace those emails from Twitter with really detailed and powerful notifications.

This is by far one of my favorite features in tweetymail and I noticed that a lot of folks previewing FULL access are not taking advantage of it yet. Let me take a moment to tell you about it and explain how easy it is to set up.

New follower notification

When someone starts following you on Twitter, tweetymail will send you an email full of details about that person. You can see their statistics, their bio, their location, and even their most recent tweets. You can also see how many followers you now have. Best of all... the email includes links that allow you to follow, direct message, mention, or block that user directly from the email itself! You never have to leave your inbox. See the example at the beginning of this post.

Direct message notification

It's nice to receive an email telling you that you have a direct message, but wouldn't be even better if you could respond to that direct message directly from your email? tweetymail's notifications allow you to do just that! tweetymail also includes helpful links in case you need to stop someone like a spammer from sending you more direct messages.

Easy to set up

If you have FULL access to tweetymail, it is really easy to set up these notifications:

• Sign in to your tweetymail account
• Click on the Notifications tab
• Copy the notification email address displayed on that tab
• Go to your Twitter account settings
• Change the email address in your Twitter settings to the one provided by tweetymail

tweetymail will intercept the email that Twitter normally sends to you and will immediately send you a much better notification instead. tweetymail will also make sure to send you any other email it receives at that address.

Give it a try and see how it works! It's really easy to set up, works really fast, and is incredibly convenient.

Several folks have asked us about the FULL access preview and the
upcoming subscription model: When will FULL access officially launch?
How much will the subscription cost? I'm excited to say that we are
finalizing those details right now and will be able to answer those
questions very shortly! In the meantime, I wanted to take a moment to
give everyone an update - whether you are a FREE or FULL access user -
so that you know what to expect in the weeks ahead.

The FULL access preview has been available for 5 weeks now. It's fair
to say that the preview is about half-way through and will end some
time in mid-July (at which time we will officially launch FULL
access). Again, we'll give you a more precise date soon! The good news
is that everyone currently participating in the preview will be
eligible for discounted subscriptions at that time. There is limited
time left to sign up for the preview (and get a discounted
subscription) so please let your friends know! We are still handing
out invite codes.

We've received a lot of great feedback during this preview and are
continuing to make improvements and add features. As we get closer to
officially launching FULL access, you can expect quality-of-service
changes to ensure that FULL access customers are truly getting the
most premium experience. For example, FULL access users will see their
email alerts get even faster, while FREE access users might experience
longer delays. We will also enforce some usage limits on FREE access
accounts in order to allow higher usage for FULL access accounts.

Note that we have some users that access tweetymail in an automated
fashion. It turns out that a small percentage of tweetymail accounts -
all automated - are responsible for a significant percentage of tweets
and emails. We want to support these types of accounts but don't think
it makes sense to treat them the same way as personal user accounts.
Therefore, we are going to restrict FULL access to personal use only
when we officially launch the subscription model. We will have a
separate subscription option available for commercial and automated
accounts as we move forward.

Finally, are you a FREE access user? Rest assured - we are committed
to ensuring that our FREE access users continue to enjoy the best free
Twitter-over-Email service available. All of the great features that
are part of FREE access now will remain free. You will still be able
to tweet, send direct messages, receive mentions, create search
alerts, and more - but of course within limits. If you require higher
usage, and want access to the most convenient and powerful features,
then FULL access is for you ;-)
